Bjørg Marit Sollie from Vestfold ultraløperklubb finishes a contest of Blefjells Beste for the 9th time (2023) Langt og Lenge

Hi, registered participant of Blefjells Beste 2024!

Few days remain to Blefjells Beste, which is organized for the 10th time. We are looking forward to seeing all of you!

On the occasion of the anniversary

For the anniversary:

  • All participants receive a T-shirt👕
  • Lampeland hotell and Fjellsport.no are bringing a cake🍰

GPS tracking

The 57 km contest has GPS tracking of the participants.

Hand-out of participant kit and GPS tracker

Friluftsbua Lampeland, Friday:

17:00-19:00 Participant kit including the bib

Bestebu, Saturday:

  • 57 km:
06:30 - 07:15 Participant kit including the bib, and the GPS tracker
  • 21 km:
08:45 - 10:00 Participant kit including the bib
  • 5 and 10 km:
08:45 - 10:30 Participant kit including the bib

It will ease the organizing of the event if a majority of the runners pick up bibs on Friday. The tracker can only be picked up Saturday morning, at Bestebu.

Transport

Do you need transport from Lampeland/Flesberg to the start of Blefjells Beste? With return in the afternoon? All participants may book transport via their personal page in Race Result, the system that handles the registrations. A link to this page can be found in the e-mail that confirmed the registration. Please sign up for transportation by Tuesday 16 July.

The transport costs NOK 90 either way.

Departure times for the bus and more information is available here: Transport

Driving to the start/finish-area

It is possible to drive your private car up to the start/finish-area, but please note the following:

  • The road to the mountains is subject to a toll, NOK 100 per trip.
  • There is no physical turnpike, the car's registration number is automatically read when entering the toll road, and one has to pay online within 48 hours to avoid a fee
  • Parking is along the road, so a little extra walking distance to the start/finish area must be expected

More information about the toll road here: Directions and toll-road payment

Routes and markings

Map and routes are available on the website of the race, see the tab Routes.

The routes are well marked by the organizers, in all places where there is no permanent marking (T marks). We ask runners on 57 km to note that this year there are no markings along the front side of the cabin Eriksbu.

Telephone

All participants on 57 and 21 km must carry a mobile phone. The phone must be turned on and accessible (not in flight mode or silent mode).

The organizer's number: Participants on 57 and 21 km must add the organizer's number +47 482 06 844 to their phone's contact list.

Emergency number: We recommend to download the app 113 to the telephone.
